Swedish Immigration Facts
Nearly 20 percent of the Swedish population is either immigrants or the children of two immigrant parents. There are more immigrants per capita in Sweden than the USA or the UK .
50 Years ago Sweden had a relatively homogenous population. Today people from nearly 200 nations live here. Sweden is one of the most ethnically diverese countries on the planet.
Sweden is one of the top three countries in the world that accepts Iraqi refugees per capita. Currently over 100,000 Iraqis live in Sweden, including many Chaldean and Syriac Christians.

We do not offer legal , tax, or medical advice however, we do have a list of professionals we can refer you to. Many of the professionals we reccomend are accustomed to working with immigrants and many speak at least one minority language.

Advocating on the Behalf of Immigrants
We are continually lobbying to push forward win/win solutions for immigrants and the society at large.
Sweden Uniteds primary goals for 2010 is to:
1. Grow our numbers
2. Build consenus and awareness throughout society regarding immigrant issues.
Often immigrant issues influence the greater society as a whole, therefore, we must listen to and work with many stakeholders.
By standing in solidarity with Sweden United , together, we can all make positives differences that alone we could not acheive.

Currently, that is not the case in Sweden however, we beleive Sweden is a dynamic and smart country and can rapidly adapt to new challenges.
Telling our story to the world via film is a key cornerstone to our success at Sweden United.

Philosophy
Timeline
We do not claim to be the great thinkers of our time. However, from reading about the lives of geniuses such as Hammarskjöld, Ghandi, and Martin Luther King, Jr. we beleive we draw strength from their greatness. We stand on their shoulders as normal people just like you. Together, all of us normal people can enlighten one another and build off one anothers strengths.
Therefore, you may notice we have not dotted every I and crossed every T in regards to the future of the oganizaiton. We are leaving a great deal of room to create and turn good ideas into reality; we are leaving room for you to do that.
We do want to share this movement with everyone we can. We want to be the national organization with many member organizations around the country joining us.
By briging people together all over the country, and maybe even around the wrold; we beleive we will acheive the vision we set forth here. We hope you believe so to!
Febuary 1st 2010. Website Launch
December 2009 to January 2010
We are constantly meeting people, building interest and consensus. We have spent the winter preparing and are soon ready to tell a larger audience about the organizaiton.
We have held our first annual meeting and ratified the constitution for the organization.
12.12.09 A dinner party between 8 friends in Malmö, Sweden generated some great ideas for the concept of Sweden United.
05.26.10 We are slowly growing membership. We need more volunteers to make the organization to come alive. Until then we are operating on a reserve basis.
